So, the close of our spring break was a fun filled camping trip for Abi's and Luke's 5th birthday. We had a total of 8 families go to Brazos Bend State Park where we (attempted) to rough it for 3 days! Our family got there a few hours before everyone else; so, we had time to set up our tent and play a little baseball...after all, Abi will be starting her t-ball season in April!

The Dad's spent some great quality time with their little ones this trip too! They gathered the group and took them fishing. I myself enjoyed a quiet rest listening to the birds chirp and the very relaxing sounds of nature!

On Saturday night we had a yummy dinner followed by an even yummier dessert..this was Abi's and Luke's birthday cake...Lizzie baked and hand wrapped every treat....

Before we left on Sunday, we took one more trip through the Park's mini museum. They have live snakes, turtles, birds, and American alligators on display. This is a pic of the fam outside the museum in front of a HUGE oak tree.

Also before leaving, we stopped to get the kids a souviner. Abi chose a stuffed raccoon and Austin chose a stuffed cayote. We stopped on our way out of the gate to snap one last picture.

Since the trip Mark and I have been dreaming of our next camping trip...which, if goes as planned, will be at the end of May at San Angelo State Park.
