Also, on another note, Abi has not been sleeping all that well this week. She has been waking up at least twice each night asking, "Can we wake up now?" Last night alone, she woke up twice with a bloody nose...I guess the weather change is not on her side! Last night, as tired as she was, this is how we found her:

Okay, so nothing really exciting has been happening around the Brewer casa lately. I just finished sewing two outfits for a friend, and will be packing up my sewing machine tomorrow. What can I say, I need to reclaim the dining room for Thanksgiving! I have this nice big spare bedroom that is not being used because I have not found the perfect sewing table to put in there! Maybe at the end of the semester I can focus more on finishing that room.

Well, Abi has had a good week. She is a little stinker as usual...I recently found out that she will be returning to preschool for two days a week next semester while I go to class. Which will be good for her. Almost every day she asks if a friend is going to come over and play, and is GREATLY disappointed if the answer is no! She is really into drawing and art work lately. She even insists on taking a note pad and pen in the car with us so that she can draw. While practicing writing her full name, Abilene instead of Abi this week, she told me that she would not be able to make the letter 'l' without a ruler. She keeps me laughing!
Austin is doing well. He took his math and science benchmarks this week. In a discussion about his science benchmarks he said, "mommy, did you know that most of the kids in my class think that a dolphin is a fish; but it's not, it's a mammal." And recently, I got the full life cycle of a chicken egg! He may resist learning...but he soaks it up, and even better, remembers it!
Mark is doing great too. He is doing well at work, still enjoys his job! He has been busy with lots of stuff going on at church. Most of you know that we lead a small group...well, for the holidays, our group is going to be hosting a 'family movie night'. He has been organixing that. He also is on the worship planning team committee which meets every Wednesday before AWANA. After that meeting he hikes upstairs to help me with our 6th grade boys group. Also, this week he received a call asking if he would like to be on the adult ministries committe. I could go on and on about all of the things Mark feels driven to do, but let's just stick with saying that he is VERY busy!!!! On top of all that I have a honey do list a mile long of things I would like to have done before Christmas comes! Poor guy, I don't know how he's still standing! Wow, he's great!

One of my most favorite memories from when I was a little girl were the dresses I used to wear! There was an older lady that used to live across the street from my Mema (my grandmother). She used to make me the CUTEST, most fluffy dresses ever! They were very pretty, but that is not what made me like them so much. What made me like them was the tiny bell sewn into the petty coat! I still have one of the dresses hanging in my closet at my parents' house! So, in dedication to my fond childhood memories, I give you Abi's Christmas dress:

Christmas Jammies!

Finally finished Austin's and Abi's Christmas Jammies for 2008! I love sewing, it's so relaxing! (and also frustrating at times...I had to take several stitches out of Austin's top, and had to add more fabric to make it longer!) I think they turned out pretty cute! Abi insisted on a nightgown this year, a granny gown is what she got! I can't wait for them to wear them!

Election 2008

It may not come as a big shock to most of you that I voted for McCain. Though I was not totally confident in him, I agree with him on his social policies. Though he did not win, I am committed to praying for Obama and his family daily that God would be with him in his decisions and that God would change his heart on issues such as gay marriage and abortion. It didn't matter who won this year, someone was going to make history. And now, Austin and Abi will have pictures from that day...

A trip down memory lane...

This evening, I've spent quite a bit of time trying to upload pictures for a project that I am working on. I have gone through every picture on our computer and would like to share a few of my favorites! Austin about 3 months old!

Abi on her first birthday- she just had her ears pierced!
Big brother and little sis!
Austin was a little over 2 and Abi was a couple months old.

I've always thought Abi's chubby cheeks were so darn cute!

Haven't you heard that Spiderman is back?

This was one of my favorite outfits that Abi had! So cute!
