Red, White, and Blue

The forth of July is one of my favorite holidays- it means getting together with friends and family, and the wearing of beautiful red, white, and blue! This year I made Abi's dress, she was very festive! Also, because it is hotter than anything down here in Texas, there is a burn ban in effect. So, this year we went with red and blue silly string instead of fireworks...the kids loved it!

Happy Easter!

We had a VERY long but exciting day! We woke up very early this morning so that Mark, Me and Austin could all go to the 8am service. Mark and I both worked in the 930 and 11am services, and then we headed home for an Easter get together with our neighbors and church family. The kids were so excited! It was a stormy morning, but by the time we made it home and out for the Easter egg hunt, it was a very beautiful and sunny day. I love being surrounded by our friends and family, it's one of my most favorite things.

Sew Cute!

Most people have a hobby that they do for fun...I have a hobby that is not only for fun, but is a great stress reliever. I like to sew in those times. This week coming up not only will I be adding two more classes to my school schedule, but Abi will be going to school for teo days a week. I don't know why, but I get nervous when she's away from me. Austin seems to be able to take care of himself easily, or maybe it's that he doesn't get his feelings hurt so easily. Whatever it is, it stresses me out! So, to get rid of some anxety, I made Abi a new church dress with matching bows.

Jingle bells

One of my most favorite memories from when I was a little girl were the dresses I used to wear! There was an older lady that used to live across the street from my Mema (my grandmother). She used to make me the CUTEST, most fluffy dresses ever! They were very pretty, but that is not what made me like them so much. What made me like them was the tiny bell sewn into the petty coat! I still have one of the dresses hanging in my closet at my parents' house! So, in dedication to my fond childhood memories, I give you Abi's Christmas dress:
