Halloween and Field day

Austin had his field day October 30th- my first experience of field day in the fall. I think I like the weather a lot better than in the spring-almost summer- because it wasn't so humid! Austin had been so excited about it all week. Last year, in kindergarten, he came down with strep throat the day before his field day and was pretty bummed about it. So, this year was super special!

The hoola hoop toss

Potato sack race

Sit and bounce race

Look at how much fun he's having!

I also have Fall Festival pics! We went to the church again this year- but this year they mixed it up a bit. The had "Trunk or Treat" where everyone decorated the trunk of their car and hands out candy. We did a firehouse theme. They had Nitro Neal again with his magic show, a puppet show, and the Pirate band, lots of games, moonwalks...time flew by so fast ! We had a great time!

Abi was a black cat and Austin was Batman!

Lemonade and Avoiding Homework part 2

So, I'm avoiding homework again...this time I made a new car seat cover for my neighbor (baby due October 31)

For the past 5 or so weeks Austin and Abi were driving me crazy wanting to have a lemonade stand! This past Saturday we finally had the time. We went through 3 containers of Crystal Light lemonade and made about 2 dollars; which the kids used to buy ice cream from the ice cream man. Most of their customers were the kids that live on our street...I was pretty surprised when someone driving by stopped and bought 2 cups! The kids had fun with it when they had customers. When business died down, they ventured off to ride their bikes!
Get your ice cold lemonade!!!!

Also. something cute that occured recently...while dog sitting (Sammy), Austin and Abi thought it would be cool to see what Sammy would look like if she were a parking lot...

Hosh posh goolash

Nothing new has really happened lately, my life is pretty uneventful (which isn't necessarily a bad thing)!!! I've been studying endlessly for school. I think I am on the downside of being caught up on my work. Meanwhile, Mark has an awful cold and is pretty miserable. Austin and Abi are, well, Austin and Abi. Austin has recently learned how to make farting noises with his armpit...thank you public schools...and Abi is mastering playing games on Noggin.com The puppies are regressing in their training...so, here we go again, starting everything from the beginning. Alright, now on to some cute pics...gotta love my babies!

Avoiding homework

In the midst of my Ike recovery on the school and homework side...I avoid doing what I am supposed to be doing at all costs!!! Recently while studying for my first History test, I found it necessary to make a baby quilt for my neighbor that is due at the end of the month...I wanted it to be simple but still cute; so, I went with a mild cowboy theme. I was hoping that I would find a red crib sheet to go with it, but no such luck. I did find a cute sleeper that has little cowboy hats and cute horses that says "Daddy's Cowboy". I thought about making a diaper stacker to match, but I don't know if she could actually use one (they aren't very common anymore). Anyways, check it out, I think it turned out cute.
